Day 2-3: LOS ANGELES, CA – SAN DIEGO, CA

Collect your rental car, set the GPS, & head south to California’s second largest city, San Diego.
The Gaslamp Quarter, Balboa Park, Coronado Island, Old Town San Diego, the Maritime Museum and of course the celebrated San Diego Zoo are just some of the sightseeing opportunities.
Day 4: SAN DIEGO, CA – PRESCOTT, AZ

Once the capital of the state, Prescott is rich with history embodied in its world famous Whiskey Row and abundant historical landmarks. Once upon a time, Whiskey Row was a hotbed of social activity where dusty cowboys could enjoy a drink, some amiable company or a card game. Today, Whiskey Row is still a vibrant centre of activity, and you’ll be at no loss to find a great place to eat, to view exemplary works of art, or to simply cool your heels and people-watch.
Day 5: PRESCOTT, AZ – SEDONA, AZ

Head north through cactus studded scenery to Sedona, ‘Arizona’s Scenic Sensation’. Browse the stores and galleries and soak up the beauty of the red-rock landscape.
Day 6: SEDONA, AZ – GRAND CANYON, AZ
* Driving Distance: 114 miles (approx. 2 hrs)
Today set off for one of America’s most beautiful drives as you journey through Oak Creek Canyon, home to the brilliantly hued cliffs and rugged spires of sandstone. Arrive at the Grand Canyon, one of the Seven Wonders of World. This natural landmark is 18 miles wide, 277 miles long and over a mile deep making it one of the largest canyon systems in the world. However you choose to explore it you will be in awe of just how unimaginably huge and spectacularly beautiful it is.
Day 7: GRAND CANYON, AZ – MONUMENT VALLEY, UT

Home of the Navajo Nation, Monument Valley is the most photographed place in America, boasting an incredible array of rock formations and spectacular sunrises and sunsets. You may well get a feeling of déjà vu as you enter the wide open expanse-this scenic location has been preserved forever in classic films such as Stagecoach and The Searchers both starring John Wayne.
Day 8-9: MONUMENT VALLEY, UT – DURANGO, CO
* Driving Distance: 168 miles (approx. 3 hrs)
Durango is perhaps most famous for the historic narrow gauge railroad that connects Durango with Silverton. This historic train has been in continuous operation for 131 years, carrying passengers behind vintage steam locomotives. Relive the sights and sounds of yesteryear for a spectacular journey on board the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad (included in tour price). We suggest you wear layers of clothing. The train climbs nearly 3000 feet to Silverton and the high mountain air will be on average about 10 degrees cooler than in Durango. In downtown Durango, the Diamond Belle Saloon at the Strater Hotel is revered as one of the most famous original ragtime piano bars in the Wild West.
Day 10: DURANGO, CO – COLORADO SPRINGS, CO
* Driving Distance: 319 miles (approx. 5 hrs 25 min)
Colorado Springs is situated near the base of one of the most famous American mountains, Pikes Peak, rising over 8,000 feet above the city on the eastern edge of the Southern Rocky Mountains.
Other attractions include Garden of the Gods and the U.S. Olympic Training Centre.
Day 11: COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – ASPEN, CO

Aspen, in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains, is a ski resort town and a year-round destination for outdoor recreation. It’s known for its high-end restaurants, boutiques, and landmarks like the 1889 Wheeler Opera House, built during the area’s silver mining boom.
Day 12: ASPEN, CO – VAIL, CO
* Driving Distance: 102 miles (approx. 1 hr 50 min)
Vail combines one of the best alpine resorts in the world with a friendly, small-town feel.
The town is filled with shops, restaurants and year-round activities in a pedestrian-friendly environment bustling with foot traffic. Vail caters for everyone with trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding, greens for golfing, rivers for rafting and fishing, spas for pampering and more!
Day 13: VAIL, CO – BOULDER, CO
**Driving distance: 109 miles (approx. 1 hr 56 min)
Nestled at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, Boulder, Colorado has plenty to offer visitors. Whether you have a passion for the outdoors, an interest in the arts, or prefer a day shopping, Boulder has it all to fit the bill. The beautiful downtown, fantastic restaurants, world-class outdoor activities, and close proximity to the mountains make Boulder a year round destination.
Day 14: BOULDER, CO – CASPER, WY
* Driving Distance: 268 miles (approx. 3 hrs 50 min)
Casper is the second largest city in Wyoming, and is nicknamed “The Oil City”. It has a long history of oil boomtown and cowboy culture.
Day 15: CASPER, WY – JACKSON HOLE, WY
* Driving Distance: 266 miles (approx. 4 hrs 30 min)
Jackson Hole is a 50 mile long valley – or flat “hole” in the Teton Mountain Range. Jackson Hole got its famous name from the legacy of the fur trappers and explorers who discovered this valley nestled beneath the grandeur of the Tetons. Explore the historic Wild West town of Jackson, with its wooden sidewalks and swing-door saloons.
Day 16: JACKSON HOLE, WY – YELLOWSTONE, WY
* Driving Distance: 146 miles (approx. 3 hrs 26 min)
Explore America’s first national park. Visit the geyser basins and the reliable ‘blow’ of Old Faithful. In addition to superb mountain scenery, the park is one of the world’s principle wildlife preserves and is a photographer’s paradise.
Day 17-18 YELLOWSTONE, WY – COEUR D’ALENE, ID
* Driving Distance: 449 miles (approx. 6 hrs 45 min)
While it may sound like a French village, Coeur d’Alene is decidedly all-American. Visitors enjoy everything from pristine golf courses to hiking on pine-forested trails and biking through natural preserves. The sparkling Coeur d’Alene Lake is the centre of most of the action. Day 19-20: COEUR D’ALENE, ID – SEATTLE, WA

Welcome to the Emerald City! Take in the views from the Space Needle at over 600 feet high. Another popular attraction is the Future of Flight Aviation Centre for a tour of the Boeing factory and past, present, and future developments in aviation technology.

Day 21: SEATTLE, WA – SEASIDE, OR

Seaside has been the Northwest’s most popular ocean resort for over a century. It is a destination paradise for a wide variety of reasons: its spectacular ocean views, miles of public beach, outdoor activities, excellent shopping, and unforgettable dining. Visitors delight in dozens of unique boutiques, specialty shops, art galleries and antique stores. Take a stroll along the 1.5-mile long ocean front promenade.
Day 22: SEASIDE, OR – NEWPORT, OR

Newport’s beginnings shaped two distinct areas of town: the Historical Bayfront and Nye Beach. Bayfront is a working waterfront on which visitors can enjoy shops, art galleries, chowder houses, restaurants, fish processing plants and family attractions in turn-of-the-century storefronts from a bygone era. Visit Yaquina Head, which is the site of Oregon’s tallest and second oldest active lighthouse.
Day 23: NEWPORT, OR – GOLD BEACH, OR

Where the Rogue River meets the Pacific Ocean, find quiet beaches, pristine wide-open spaces, incredible hiking trails, vast forests and rugged mountains to explore. Jet boats offer an impressive view of wildlife and river life on the “Wild and Scenic” section of the Rogue River.
Day 24: GOLD BEACH, OR – MENDOCINO, CA

Mendocino is the only town on the California Coast that is designated as an Historical Landmark. Established in the 1850’s the architecture is reminiscent of Maine with its grand Victorians and quaint Saltbox cottages. Mendocino is a photographers paradise, everywhere you look there is another picture postcard waiting to be snapped. From crashing waves and old-fashioned water towers to flower covered picket fences and deserted sandy beaches – just some of the magic that awaits you in Historic Mendocino.
Day 25-27: MENDOCINO, CA – SAN FRANCISCO, CA

Hello San Francisco! Home to iconic attractions such as The Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. From the bustling department stores of Union Square, to the Seafood restaurants of Fisherman’s Wharf, to the lively Castro district and the beauty of Golden Gate Park, San Francisco really does offer something for everyone.
Day 28: SAN FRANCISCO, CA – MONTEREY, CA

Travel south on California’s Route 1. The highway is famous for running along some of the most beautiful coastlines in the USA, leading to its designation as an All-American Road.
Few places on earth can live up to their own mythology, but Monterey is a notable exception. No matter what you’ve heard or seen in feature films, nothing can prepare you for the jaw-dropping beauty along Monterey’s fabled coast and village-like pedestrian thoroughfares. John Steinbeck was a frequent visitor, and drew considerable inspiration from area landmarks including Cannery Row, which he helped to immortalize in his novel of the same name. Today, restaurants, boutiques, and attractions like the Monterey Bay Aquarium have helped make Monterey a favourite destination for visitors from around the world.
Day 29: MONTEREY, CA – SANTA BARBARA, CA

Once the original Hollywood in the glamorous 1920’s, Santa Barbara is still a favourite to movie producers and home to numerous celebrities. Make time to wander along the bustling waterfront or do some shopping.
Day 30-31: SANTA BARBARA, CA – SANTA MONICA, CA

Kick back in Santa Monica for your last two nights on tour. Enjoy award-winning dining, top-rated shopping, hit the beach and spend time on the attraction-packed Pier.
Head to the CRUISIN’ FOR A CURE car show held in Costa Mesa, CA on 21 September (approx one hour drive from Santa Monica). This is the world’s biggest one day charity car show and sure to be an awesome event!
